Since joining Jeff Horsey Solicitor, Katie Canning has progressed from Legal Secretary to Paralegal, becoming an invaluable member of our legal team. With a strong background in management and administration, Katie combines professionalism with warmth, consistently delivering exceptional support to both clients and colleagues.

Now working as a Paralegal, Katie supports our solicitors across a wide range of practice areas, including criminal law, family law, commercial and property law, conveyancing, estates, and personal injury law. She works extensively in personal injury and conveyancing, two areas that demand a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of legal processes, where her skills and experience are especially well applied. But her talents don’t stop there; every solicitor seems to be pulling her in their direction for help, regardless of the area of law, and she somehow manages to keep everything running smoothly across the office.

Katie brings a depth of knowledge and experience that allows her to see a file and know what needs to be done, an invaluable skill that greatly enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of our legal services. Her attention to detail, initiative, and ability to anticipate next steps make her a trusted and highly respected member of the team.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her family, heading off on camping trips, and cheering on her children’s weekend activities. She also has a competitive streak, often found trying to out-run her husband, or unwinding with a well-earned margarita.
