Lucy is our valued Associate who brings more than six years of experience to the team at Jeff Horsey Solicitor.

She first joined the firm in May 2019 in an administrative role as a Law Clerk while completing her law degree, and has since worked her way through the ranks to become a Solicitor. This progression has given Lucy a deep, first-hand understanding of how the firm operates at every level—from initial client contact through to matter resolution. It also means she appreciates the importance of each stage in a client’s matter, no matter how big or small, and recognises the value of a well-coordinated and responsive legal team.

Over the years, Lucy has gained broad experience across a wide range of practice areas, including family law, estate planning and administration, criminal law, leases and guarantees, business sales and purchases, commercial law, property law, and conveyancing.

Admitted as a Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia in February 2022, Lucy holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), a Bachelor of Justice (Policy and Governance), and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Queensland University of Technology.

As a Solicitor, Lucy primarily practices in family law, estate planning and administration, commercial law, property law, and conveyancing. Her experience across these interconnected areas allows her to assist clients at many stages of life where they inevitably overlap —from navigating the complexities of a family law matter, to handling the legal work involved in retaining key assets like the family home, to ensuring their estate planning reflects their current circumstances. This holistic approach enables clients to complete all their legal work with a single trusted lawyer, saving them the time and expense of engaging multiple professionals. It also provides clients with a consistent point of contact in Lucy, supporting them seamlessly through various life stages where legal advice and assistance may be needed.
